Official Presentation of the Three-Volume Compendium "Vardanants Heals"
On February 21, the official presentation of the three-volume compendium “Treatment at Vardanants” took place at the National Gallery of Armenia, bringing together representatives and partners from the healthcare sector.
The compendium includes 371 clinical protocols developed across 25 medical specialties, covering both therapeutic and surgical fields.
Referring to the significance of the “Treatment at Vardanants” compendium, CEO of the “Vardanants” CIM, Mr. Levon Altunyan, noted in a conversation with journalists that although it is primarily intended for practicing physicians, its value extends beyond that context.

“Just as an experienced music lover listens to a symphony with the score in hand, today many patients visit a doctor after already consulting artificial intelligence. In these circumstances, it is especially important that the physician speaks the same professional language. This builds trust, and trust fosters patient engagement in the treatment process — which is the most important component of successful treatment,” said Mr. Levon Altunyan.
Harutyun Mangoyan, Director of the Center of Professional Excellence at the “Vardanants” CIM and Head of the book’s Editorial Board, emphasized the importance of the authorship approach: “This is not simply material — it is the work authored by Vardanants physicians, and the Vardanants signature is clearly visible here. With the wording “Treatment at Vardanants”, we present our approach: first, yes, we treat; and second, yes, this is our signature. And we are pleased to share that signature,” noted Harutyun Mangoyan.
Who Is the Book Intended For?
Samvel Hayrumyan, Consultant in Family Medicine at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, highly praised the compendium, noting that the first volume has already become a “desk book” for family physicians.
“It is very important that all physicians have this book, as it helps avoid unnecessary prescriptions of medications and diagnostic tests by relying on evidence-based medicine,” he said.

Structure and Content
The diagnoses presented in the compendium are organized alphabetically, covering infectious, neurological, cardiological, rheumatological, and many other fields. This approach allows for quick orientation and practical application of the protocols in everyday clinical work.
The first book, published in 2022, included more than 130 clinical protocols. The current three-volume compendium is nearly three times more extensive, reflecting the continuous professional development and systematic work of the “Vardanants” CIM.
Continuous Development
The compendium has been approved by the Scientific Council of the National Institute of Health. The Vardanants Center for Innovative Medicine notes that the initiative is ongoing: in the near future, the compendium is planned to be expanded to approximately 700 clinical protocols, covering around 98% of the diagnoses applied in Armenia.
