When should you undergo a screening mammogram?
Lusine Hakobyan, mammographer and radiologist at Vardanants, recommends that the first mammogram be conducted between the ages of 35 and 40. This ensures that women aged 40 have baseline data on healthy breast tissues for future comparisons and more accurate health assessments.
Following the age of 40, annual screening mammograms are essential. The doctor advises against waiting until symptoms arise.
The key to successful treatment of breast cancer is early detection, often before symptoms appear.
Women can undergo mammography examinations at our center from Monday to Saturday until 18:00 at the Kochar branch (35/1).
Our examinations are conducted in a specialized mammography room equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including the General Electric Senographe Pristina mammography system and the GE Versana Black ultrasound machine.
